What is Catalyst?
Catalyst is an AI Translation Tool built specifically for certified translations. Developed by ImmiTranslate, it is the technology that generates draft certified translations for our AITPE (AI Translation Post Editing) process. Catalyst conforms to a style guide and common standards created for certified translations.
How accurate is Catalyst?
In our testing phase, Catalyst has comparable accuracy and quality output to a professional human translator with moderate experience.
How do I access Catalyst?
Currently, Catalyst is in early access testing with new invites rolling out. If you are interested in trying Catalyst, please click the sign-up button at the top of the page.
Is Catalyst legal?
Yes - Catalyst merely produces a draft of a certified translation. The draft does not include a signature of a human translator, which is required for a certified translation.
If I am an ImmiTranslate client, do I get access to Catalyst?
At this time, only a limited number of early access testers can utilize Catalyst. In the future, ImmiTranslate clients will have special access to Catalyst.
Is Catalyst available for my non-profit?
A certain number of early access invites have been reserved for non-profits and attorneys who frequently do pro-bono work. Please click the sign-up button at the top of the page and indicate you represent a non-profit.
Is Catalyst trained on client documents?
No - Catalyst is not trained on client source documents. Catalyst is trained on a subset of translated document fragments that have been sanitized of any personal information. The Catalyst OCR Engine is trained on synthetically generated data designed to mimic the distortions and defects common with legal and vital documents.
Will Catalyst train on documents I submit?
Future training is explicitly opt-in only. You may be prompted to opt-in at the completion of a translation or to submit a translation for future training. Any future training will sanitize and remove personally identifiable information (PII).
