Update on COVID-19 at ImmiTranslate
We remain open and operating on a normal schedule during the COVID-19 outbreak and crisis.
At ImmiTranslate, we are closely monitoring the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in several countries that we operate in. Our Washington, D.C. office remains closed however our operations have continued remotely. We employ a global remote workforce of translators, all of whom have been instructed to follow local guidelines regarding quarantine and to work from their homes.
We will continue operating with standard turnaround times for the foreseeable future. Although unlikely, if there are anticipated delays in the completion of document translations, we will notify clients as soon as that information is available.
The documents printed, signed, and mailed from our document processing facility are now being handled with heightened measures, including the use of latex gloves. According to CDC advisories, the COVID-19 virus has a very low possibility of remaining active on cardboard or paper surfaces. Additionally, none of the staff members who handle client documents have reported COVID-19 symptoms.
ImmiTranslate relies on FedEx for shipments from our US document processing facility (which remains open) to destinations within the US. At this time, FedEx has not indicated any service related delays.
ImmiTranslate relies on DHL for international shipments from our US document processing facility. Several countries and cities within those countries are experiencing service delays. In situations where your document(s) are being shipped to disrupted countries, we will notify you.
