Show the conversation in context
Send the conversation pages selected for your matter, with speaker labels and timestamps visible where they appear in the source. Include the full screenshots or agreed conversation extract so each message can be read alongside its surrounding text. Identify missing or unreadable material when requesting the quote.
Your attorney can tell you which part of a conversation is needed. Keep that selection separate from the translation task. If a screen cuts off a sentence, attachment label or reply, explain the gap rather than reconstructing the message or altering the underlying record.
Agree on screenshots or an exported conversation
Tell us whether your records are screenshots or an exported conversation. Include the files with your quote request so readability, length and the requested output can be reviewed. Mention the source application when its labels, reply structure or message order need explanation.
Long conversations may contain repeated screens, forwarded passages, images or messages in more than one language. Identify these features and explain the range you need translated. The service covers the records you supply; it does not access a phone or account, recover deleted messages or authenticate message metadata.
Include the certification instructions
Share the written translation instructions from your attorney or receiving court. Include any exhibit labels or page references they want associated with the translated text. If certification is requested, provide that wording so the required translation deliverable can be discussed before you order.
A translator's certification concerns the translation. It is not proof of who sent a message, a forensic examination or a ruling that the record is admissible. Questions about using the conversation as evidence should remain with the professional handling your legal matter.
Quote the pages you need translated
Specify the source and target languages, selected page range and requested deadline. Upload all of the records you want included rather than estimating the conversation length from a few sample screens. Dense text, duplicate images and attachments need to be understood when the scope is quoted.
Review the quote against the files and instructions you supplied. If your attorney later adds another conversation or changes the selection, identify the new material when requesting an updated scope. For other records in the same matter, our legal translation page describes the broader document service.
