Estate records in your packet
An inheritance matter may involve records issued by several organizations. Send the documents your receiving office or adviser has selected, such as a death record, will, court order or ownership document. Keep attachments with the record they belong to and identify any pages still missing from your copy.
Use the records your receiving office requests. A bank, court or authority may ask for different evidence depending on the matter. Your quote request should describe the supplied packet and its intended recipient, without assuming that translating one document completes the inheritance process.
Instructions from the receiving office
Tell us where the records will be submitted and which language is requested. Include written instructions about translation or certification from the receiving office. If different institutions need different parts of the packet, explain those destinations and identify the files for each one.
An instruction about translation can be separate from a requirement to authenticate an original document. Share the recipient's wording so the requested output can be considered in the quote. Questions about probate procedure, entitlement to an estate or obtaining missing records belong with your adviser or the issuing authority.
Names and references across documents
Estate documents can refer to the same person under different spellings, initials or earlier names. Supply the reference spellings already used in the matter and identify the relevant person for each record. Court references, property details and dates can also help connect the documents to one another.
Flag any discrepancy you have noticed in the original files. Translation follows the supplied records; it should not invent an explanation or change the original information to make two documents agree. Ask your adviser how a source discrepancy should be addressed if the receiving office needs clarification.
Request a quote for your records
Upload the records you need translated and specify the source and target languages. Include the recipient's instructions, your desired deadline and a list of attachments. If your packet includes more than one language, identify the language of each file where you know it.
Review the scope, certification request and delivery details in the quote before ordering. For a single death record, our death certificate translation page provides the direct document service. Separately supplied affidavits and legal documents can also be identified in the same request when your adviser has asked for them.
