Hindi vaccination record translation for a US school, a daycare, a university health service or the civil surgeon doing your I-693 exam. We translate the मातृ एवं शिशु सुरक्षा कार्ड, the Mother and Child Protection Card filled in by an ANM at a primary health centre or an anganwadi, and the clinic cards from private paediatricians in the Hindi-speaking states.
The MCP card is a folded government booklet that follows a mother from pregnancy registration through the child's early years. The immunization table is one panel of it, and every entry is handwritten.
Which panel to send
The card holds the mother's pregnancy page with her Td doses, the birth details, the growth chart and the immunization table with a date box for each dose. Send the cover with the child's name and the RCH registration number, the immunization panel, and the mother's page only if the recipient wants her tetanus doses. The growth chart is translated when you ask for it; a school does not need it.
The Indian schedule, dose by dose
Under the Universal Immunisation Programme the table reads BCG, OPV-0 and hepatitis B at birth, then Pentavalent, OPV, fIPV, Rotavirus and PCV across the six, ten and fourteen week visits, MR at nine months and again in the second year, JE in endemic districts, and the DPT and OPV boosters. Pentavalent covers diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B and Hib. MR covers measles and rubella and not mumps, which a school nurse comparing it to MMR needs to see. The translation names each vaccine as the US schedule knows it and keeps the Indian abbreviation beside it.
Hindi vaccine names and handwritten dates
On the Hindi-printed card the rows read बी.सी.जी., पेंटावैलेंट and खसरा-रूबेला, and the ANM writes the date by hand, day first, sometimes in Devanagari numerals. A child vaccinated before being named is entered as the baby of the mother. The translation writes the month in words, gives the child as the card does, and marks a faded box as illegible.
Who is asking for your Hindi vaccination record translation?
The translation is the same. What changes is whether the recipient wants anything added to it.
USCIS
USCIS asks for a complete English translation and a signed certification from the translator. No notarization is needed.
Most ask for a certified translation they can read next to the original. Digital delivery as a PDF is usually enough; ask for a hard copy if they want one.
Three things that save a day of back and forth on a Hindi vaccination record.
01
Photograph each page flat and in daylight
Vaccination cards are small and often handwritten. A flat, well-lit photo of every page, including the cover, lets the translator read each date and lot number.
02
Tell us whose record it is
Children's cards often carry a nickname or no surname. Give us the full name as it appears on the passport so the translation matches the rest of the file.
03
Leave vaccine names and lot numbers to us
Trade names, lot numbers and stamps are copied exactly as written, and the headings around them are translated, so a clinic or school can read the schedule without guessing.
Details and pricing
What is included in a Hindi vaccination record translation
One price per page covers the translation and its certification. A page is up to 250 words, and the quote tells you the page count before you pay.
Everything on the vaccination record is translated, including stamps, seals and handwritten notes. Tell us the English spelling you use for each name when you order.
We never kept the card. Is there anything else to translate?
Usually yes. The sub-centre or primary health centre keeps the immunization register, and the medical officer in charge can issue a duplicate card or a certificate copied from it, in Hindi, with the centre's seal. A private hospital gives a letter on its letterhead. Doses recorded on the U-WIN portal come out as an English certificate that needs no translation. We translate whichever record you manage to get.
Is the CoWIN COVID-19 certificate in Hindi?
The CoWIN certificate comes in English with a QR code, the vaccine name, the dose dates and the centre, and it could also be downloaded in Hindi. If your copy is the Hindi version or carries a Hindi stamp from the centre, we translate it and certify the page. If you can still download the English version, that one needs no translation.
What will the school find missing on an Indian record?
Nothing on the Indian schedule covers mumps, varicella or hepatitis A, and hepatitis B after the birth dose is inside the Pentavalent entries rather than on its own line. The translation shows exactly which doses were given and when; the school or the civil surgeon decides what has to be made up. It helps to bring the translated card to the appointment so the gaps are read off the record and not guessed.
How much does a certified translation cost?
Certified translation is $25 per page, with a page counted as up to 250 words. Notarization, a mailed physical copy and an apostille are optional and priced separately.
How long does a certified translation take?
Standard turnaround starts at 24 hours and depends on the length and language of your documents. If you have a deadline, include it in your quote request.
