Native Spanish translators
Translators who know the paperwork, not just the language
Spanish is the language we translate most. Our Spanish translators are native speakers who have been tested on the Spanish and English pair, and they work with civil registry records, school transcripts and court documents from across Latin America and Spain every day.
You review the translation before it is final, and we follow any spelling you give us for names and places. Certified translations are accepted by USCIS, and we back that with our 100% USCIS translation acceptance guarantee.
- Native Spanish speakers, tested on the pair
- You review before it is final
- Signed certificate of accuracy
- 100% USCIS acceptance guarantee
What to know about Spanish documents
- Two surnames
- Spanish-speaking countries record a paternal and a maternal surname. We keep both, in the order they appear, and never merge or drop one, so the translation matches your passport and other records.
- Acta de nacimiento formats
- Mexican birth records come as a long-form acta with marginal notes, or the newer printed copia certificada with a CURP and a folio. Both usually translate as one page.
- Regional variants
- A Colombian registro civil, a Spanish certificado literal and a Dominican acta inextensa use different headings for the same facts. Our translators know the terminology of each country, so nothing is guessed.
Spanish documents we translate
Pick the document you have. Some have a page written for Spanish records; the rest open the general document page, which covers the same service.
Who is asking for your Spanish translation?
The translation is the same. What changes is whether the recipient wants anything added to it.
USCIS
USCIS asks for a complete English translation and a signed certification from the translator. No notarization is needed.
US passports and the Department of State
The Department of State wants the translation notarized. Add notarization at checkout and we handle the rest.
Consulates and authorities abroad
Sending a US document to Mexico, Colombia or Spain? We translate into Spanish and can add an apostille for Hague Convention countries.

Spanish Translation FAQ
Most questions about pricing and turnaround can be answered faster by requesting a quote.
- Do you translate documents from every Spanish-speaking country?
- Yes. We translate Spanish documents issued anywhere, from Mexico and Central America to the Caribbean, South America and Spain. The country matters for terminology, and we match the translator to it.
- Can you translate from English into Spanish?
- Yes. English to Spanish translations are common for consulates, dual nationality registrations and schools abroad. Tell us which country will receive it so we use the right conventions.
- How do you handle two surnames and accents?
- Both surnames stay as written, in the same order. Accents and the letter ñ are kept in names. If you spell your name differently on your US documents, tell us at checkout and we will note it.
- Will USCIS accept your Spanish translations?
- Yes. Our translations are always accepted by USCIS. We follow the guidelines and requirements for USCIS translations and offer a 100% USCIS translation acceptance guarantee.
- How much does a certified translation cost?
- Certified translation is $25 per page, with a page counted as up to 250 words. Notarization, a mailed physical copy and an apostille are optional and priced separately.
- How long does a certified translation take?
- Standard turnaround starts at 24 hours and depends on the length and language of your documents. If you have a deadline, include it in your quote request.
