Tagalog financial statement translation for an F-1 student showing family funds, a visitor visa, or a US court dividing assets. Philippine companies file audited statements with the SEC in English. Small family businesses do not. Their books, from a sari-sari store to a rice farm, are often kept by hand in Filipino.
A US officer wants a number and where it comes from. For a family that runs a small business in the Philippines, the evidence is a handwritten ledger and a few government papers.
The listahan and the store ledger
A sari-sari store, a carinderia or a tricycle operator keeps a listahan: daily sales (benta), expenses (gastos) and the credit given to neighbors (utang). We translate it as a ledger, keep the dates and peso totals as written, and translate the headings the owner used. One notebook page is one page at $25. A year of daily entries adds up, so many families send a few representative months and a summary signed by the owner.
Farm income by the cavan
For a rice or corn farmer the income is the harvest. The records are the ani per cropping season counted in cavans, the price per kilo from the buyer, and receipts from the NFA or a private trader. Tenant farmers also record the share paid to the landowner, the hatian. We keep the units as written, cavan and kilo, rather than converting them, and add a bracketed note explaining the cavan.
Papers that confirm the business exists
The DTI business name certificate, the Mayor's Permit and the BIR Certificate of Registration are in English and need no translation. A barangay business clearance may be in Filipino, and so is the Sinumpaang Salaysay many owners swear to state their yearly net income when they have no audited books. We translate both, with the notary's jurat, so the officer reads the owner's own statement of income next to the ledger.
Who is asking for your Tagalog financial statement translation?
The translation is the same. What changes is whether the recipient wants anything added to it.
Banks and lenders
A lender assessing a business loan or a foreign buyer's finances accepts a certified translation of the audited statements. Send the complete set so the figures can be checked against the notes.
EB-5 and E-2 petitions document the source of funds with financial statements. USCIS asks for a complete English translation and a signed certification from the translator.
Three things that save a day of back and forth on a Tagalog financial statement.
01
Send the statements with their notes
The balance sheet, the income statement and the cash flow statement are read with the notes that explain them. Upload the full report, including the auditor's letter, so nothing is cited that the translation lacks.
02
Keep the tables as tables
A clean PDF, or the spreadsheet the report was made from, lets the translator keep each column where it is. Photos of printed tables are slower and easier to misread.
03
Tell us the audience
A bank reads a statement differently from a tax office or a court. Say in the order notes who will receive it so the accounting terms fit that reader.
Details and pricing
What is included in a Tagalog financial statement translation
One price per page covers the translation and its certification. A page is up to 250 words, and the quote tells you the page count before you pay.
Everything on the financial statement is translated, including stamps, seals and handwritten notes. Tell us the English spelling you use for each name when you order.
My parents are paying for my F-1 studies. What do I translate for the I-20?
The school wants proof the funds exist. Send the bank certificate and statements in English as they are. Translate the papers that show where the money comes from when they are in Filipino: the store ledger summary, the farm income records, a parent's sworn statement of support. Ask the school whether it also wants its own sponsor form.
Do you translate audited financial statements from the Philippines?
They are almost always in English, filed with the SEC and the BIR with an auditor's report in English, so they need no translation. If a cooperative or a homeowners association issued its annual report in Filipino, we translate it, including the balance sheet headings and the board's certification.
My US divorce case involves property and income in the Philippines. What needs translating?
Titles and tax declarations for land are in English. Rental receipts, lease agreements between relatives and handwritten acknowledgments of payment are often in Filipino, and those are the pages a US court cannot read. We translate them with every amount and date as written, and notarization is an add-on if the court asks for it.
How much does a certified translation cost?
Certified translation is $25 per page, with a page counted as up to 250 words. Notarization, a mailed physical copy and an apostille are optional and priced separately.
How long does a certified translation take?
Standard turnaround starts at 24 hours and depends on the length and language of your documents. If you have a deadline, include it in your quote request.
