Russian financial statement translation of a company's бухгалтерская отчётность for an E-2 or EB-5 source-of-funds file, an L-1 petition, a US court, a bank onboarding a foreign owner or a buyer doing due diligence, and into Russian for a tender or bank in Russia or Kazakhstan. We translate the баланс, the отчёт о финансовых результатах and the auditor's report, with a signed certification.
Russian statutory accounts follow РСБУ, the Russian accounting standards, on numbered forms, and the numbering is what lets a US reader check the translation against the original.
Форма 1 and форма 2
The бухгалтерский баланс is ОКУД form 0710001 and the отчёт о финансовых результатах form 0710002, which older sets title отчёт о прибылях и убытках. Every line has a код строки, 1150 for fixed assets, 1210 for inventories, 2110 for revenue, and the translation keeps those codes, because three year-end columns sit side by side and the code is how a reviewer finds the same line. Amounts are stated in тыс. руб., thousands of rubles, and we repeat that unit on every page.
ИНН, ОГРН, ОКВЭД and the company form
The header carries the ИНН tax number, the ОГРН registration number, the КПП and the ОКВЭД activity code, and those identifiers stay as digits with the abbreviation explained once. ООО is a limited liability company, АО a joint-stock company, ПАО a public one, ИП an individual entrepreneur who files no balance sheet at all but a tax declaration and a КУДиР ledger instead. Kazakh accounts use a БИН and ТОО for the partnership, in tenge, and Belarusian ones a УНП.
МСФО accounts and the auditor's report
Larger Russian companies also publish МСФО statements, IFRS in Russian, which read closer to what a US analyst expects but still carry the аудиторское заключение in Russian legal wording. Немодифицированное мнение is an unmodified opinion, мнение с оговоркой a qualified one. For an EB-5 or E-2 file the officer wants to trace a dividend or sale proceeds from these statements to the bank, so we translate the отчёт о движении денежных средств and the решение о распределении прибыли in the same order with the same figures.
Who is asking for your Russian financial statement translation?
The translation is the same. What changes is whether the recipient wants anything added to it.
Banks and lenders
A lender assessing a business loan or a foreign buyer's finances accepts a certified translation of the audited statements. Send the complete set so the figures can be checked against the notes.
EB-5 and E-2 petitions document the source of funds with financial statements. USCIS asks for a complete English translation and a signed certification from the translator.
Three things that save a day of back and forth on a Russian financial statement.
01
Send the statements with their notes
The balance sheet, the income statement and the cash flow statement are read with the notes that explain them. Upload the full report, including the auditor's letter, so nothing is cited that the translation lacks.
02
Keep the tables as tables
A clean PDF, or the spreadsheet the report was made from, lets the translator keep each column where it is. Photos of printed tables are slower and easier to misread.
03
Tell us the audience
A bank reads a statement differently from a tax office or a court. Say in the order notes who will receive it so the accounting terms fit that reader.
Details and pricing
What is included in a Russian financial statement translation
One price per page covers the translation and its certification. A page is up to 250 words, and the quote tells you the page count before you pay.
Everything on the financial statement is translated, including stamps, seals and handwritten notes. Tell us the English spelling you use for each name when you order.
Which statements does an E-2 or EB-5 source-of-funds file need?
The investor's share of the profit has to be visible: the баланс and отчёт о финансовых результатах for the years the money was earned, the shareholder resolution paying the dividend, the справка о доходах showing the tax paid on it, and the bank record of the payment. Immigration lawyers usually ask for three years. A balance sheet page is dense with figures but short on words, so most run to one page each at $25.
The accounts are in thousands of rubles. Do you convert them?
No. The translation states тыс. руб. as thousands of RUB on every page and leaves each figure as printed, including the decimal comma and the parentheses Russian accountants use for negatives. Converting at a chosen rate would turn a certified translation into an opinion about exchange rates, and the officer or analyst converts at the date they choose. If you need a dollar column, add it in your own cover note.
Do you translate US financial statements into Russian?
Yes. A US company bidding in a Kazakh or Russian tender, registering a subsidiary, opening a local bank account or proving its standing to a customs broker is asked for its audited financials in Russian. The translation uses РСБУ terms where they match, выручка for revenue, чистая прибыль for net income, and keeps the US GAAP term where there is no Russian counterpart. A Kazakh tender commission may also ask for a Kazakh version, which is a separate order.
How much does a certified translation cost?
Certified translation is $25 per page, with a page counted as up to 250 words. Notarization, a mailed physical copy and an apostille are optional and priced separately.
How long does a certified translation take?
Standard turnaround starts at 24 hours and depends on the length and language of your documents. If you have a deadline, include it in your quote request.
