Ukrainian mortgage application translation for a borrower in the US whose income, savings or down payment has a paper trail in Ukraine, and in the other direction for a Ukrainian living in the US who is buying a home in Ukraine on a bank іпотека. We translate the documents the underwriter lists, with a signed certification on each.

What a US underwriter asks a Ukrainian borrower to explain
A US lender wants every dollar of the down payment sourced and every month of income documented. When part of that story happened in Ukraine, the documents are in Ukrainian and the underwriter needs them in English before the file moves.
Down payment from a sale in Ukraine
If the money came from selling a flat in Kyiv or Lviv, the underwriter wants the договір купівлі-продажу, notarized by a Ukrainian notary and carrying the price, the витяг з Державного реєстру речових прав на нерухоме майно showing the transfer, and the bank statement where the proceeds landed before the wire to the US. We translate the three as a set so the names, the address and the sum match from one to the next.
Gift funds from family in Ukraine
Parents in Ukraine helping with a deposit produce a gift letter, which we translate into English for the lender, plus their own виписка showing the transfer leaving and your US statement showing it arriving. Since the National Bank of Ukraine has limited how much an individual can send abroad under martial law, a gift often arrives as several transfers over months, and the translated statements let the underwriter follow each one.
Income still earned in Ukraine
A borrower who still works remotely for a Ukrainian employer or runs a ФОП brings a довідка про доходи from the employer, the ФОП tax declarations and the Pension Fund's довідка ОК-5, which lists insured earnings by month and employer and serves the purpose of US pay stubs. The amounts stay in hryvnia on the translation; the lender converts them at its own rate, and we can add a note of the rate on the date it chooses.
Who is asking for your Ukrainian mortgage application translation?
The translation is the same. What changes is whether the recipient wants anything added to it.
Banks and mortgage lenders
A US lender underwriting a buyer with foreign income or assets accepts a certified translation of each document. Digital delivery as a PDF is usually enough; ask for a hard copy if they want one.
Buying property in another country usually means the bank or the notary there wants your US documents translated, notarized and sometimes apostilled. Tell us the country in your order notes.
A joint mortgage is common evidence in a marriage-based petition. USCIS asks for a complete English translation and a signed certification from the translator. No notarization is needed.
Three things that save a day of back and forth on a Ukrainian mortgage application.
01
Gather the lender's checklist first
Lenders ask for pay slips, bank statements, tax returns and proof of assets alongside the application. Upload the set in one order so the names and figures are consistent across every document.
02
Send the pages that support the numbers
An employment letter or a property deed is often referenced on the form. Include each supporting document in full, with stamps and signatures, rather than only the summary page.
03
Tell us the spelling and the currency
Give us the applicant names as the passport spells them. Amounts stay in the original currency and the translation does not convert them, so ask the lender whether they want a conversion note.
Details and pricing
What is included in a Ukrainian mortgage application translation
One price per page covers the translation and its certification. A page is up to 250 words, and the quote tells you the page count before you pay.
Everything on the mortgage application is translated, including stamps, seals and handwritten notes. Tell us the English spelling you use for each name when you order.
I live in the US and want an іпотека or an єОселя loan in Ukraine. What goes into Ukrainian?
The bank wants your W-2s, recent pay stubs, your Form 1040 and a US bank statement in Ukrainian, and sometimes an employer letter. We translate them with a signed certification. Ukrainian banks usually want the translator's signature certified by a Ukrainian notary as well, and that step has to happen in Ukraine, so ask the bank's manager which form of certification they accept before you order.
Will a US lender accept your certification on the Ukrainian documents?
Lenders, like USCIS, ask for a complete English translation with a signed statement from the translator that it is accurate, and that is what every page we deliver carries. Some loan officers also want it notarized, which we add as an option. The translation is attached to the Ukrainian original in the file, not substituted for it.
The flat in Ukraine is still mortgaged. Does the lender need that agreement?
Usually yes, because an existing loan counts against your debt-to-income ratio. A Ukrainian mortgage is two documents, the кредитний договір with the bank and the notarized іпотечний договір that puts the flat up as security, plus a payment schedule. We translate the schedule and the key terms pages, and the full agreements if the underwriter insists.
How much does a certified translation cost?
Certified translation is $25 per page, with a page counted as up to 250 words. Notarization, a mailed physical copy and an apostille are optional and priced separately.
How long does a certified translation take?
Standard turnaround starts at 24 hours and depends on the length and language of your documents. If you have a deadline, include it in your quote request.
