Punjabi financial statement translation for a student visa sponsor, a visitor visa, an EB-5 source of funds file or a US court. A farming family's finances in Punjab are rarely in a balance sheet. They are in mandi sale receipts, the commission agent's ledger and the land record, much of it in Gurmukhi.
When parents in a Punjab village sponsor a student or show they can support a visit, the evidence is agricultural, and the papers come from the mandi and the patwari.
J-forms from the mandi
Wheat and paddy sold through a ਮੰਡੀ come with a J-form, the receipt the ਆੜ੍ਹਤੀਆ issues for each sale, showing the crop, the weight, the rate and the amount. A season's J-forms are the closest thing a farmer has to a pay stub. We translate each one with the quintal weights and rupee totals exactly as printed, and can list them in one summary table if you ask.
The commission agent's ledger
Some arhtiyas still keep a bound ledger with each farmer's account of advances, sales and payments, and give a handwritten extract when asked. Older ones are written in Landa or Mahajani script, which few people today can read. We translate Gurmukhi extracts in full; for older scripts we look at the page first and tell you honestly whether we can do it.
Land as the asset
The ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂਬੰਦੀ, and the ਫ਼ਰਦ extract taken from it, lists each owner's share of the land by khasra number with the area in kanal and marla. A sponsor's statement of assets usually rests on it. We keep the khasra and khewat numbers exactly and give the area in the local units with acres beside them.
Who is asking for your Punjabi financial statement translation?
The translation is the same. What changes is whether the recipient wants anything added to it.
Banks and lenders
A lender assessing a business loan or a foreign buyer's finances accepts a certified translation of the audited statements. Send the complete set so the figures can be checked against the notes.
EB-5 and E-2 petitions document the source of funds with financial statements. USCIS asks for a complete English translation and a signed certification from the translator.
Three things that save a day of back and forth on a Punjabi financial statement.
01
Send the statements with their notes
The balance sheet, the income statement and the cash flow statement are read with the notes that explain them. Upload the full report, including the auditor's letter, so nothing is cited that the translation lacks.
02
Keep the tables as tables
A clean PDF, or the spreadsheet the report was made from, lets the translator keep each column where it is. Photos of printed tables are slower and easier to misread.
03
Tell us the audience
A bank reads a statement differently from a tax office or a court. Say in the order notes who will receive it so the accounting terms fit that reader.
Details and pricing
What is included in a Punjabi financial statement translation
One price per page covers the translation and its certification. A page is up to 250 words, and the quote tells you the page count before you pay.
Everything on the financial statement is translated, including stamps, seals and handwritten notes. Tell us the English spelling you use for each name when you order.
Our CA prepared the balance sheet in English. Do you translate the rest?
Yes. A chartered accountant's statement of net worth is normally in English and needs no translation. The Punjabi papers it relies on, such as the jamabandi, the J-forms and any valuation done by the patwari, are what we translate, so the reader can check the CA's figures against the originals.
Is agricultural income from Punjab accepted by the US consulate?
We can't speak for the consulate, and we only translate. Officers do see agricultural income often from Punjab applicants, and they look for documents that agree with each other. Our translation keeps every figure, name and khasra number as printed so the J-forms, land record and bank deposits line up.
The land is held jointly with my father's brothers. How does that show?
The jamabandi lists every co-sharer in the khewat with a share written as a fraction, such as a third. An officer may count only your parent's part. We translate each share exactly and keep every co-owner's name on the translation, so nobody reads the whole holding as your family's.
How much does a certified translation cost?
Certified translation is $25 per page, with a page counted as up to 250 words. Notarization, a mailed physical copy and an apostille are optional and priced separately.
How long does a certified translation take?
Standard turnaround starts at 24 hours and depends on the length and language of your documents. If you have a deadline, include it in your quote request.
